The New Minstrels Music Centre, opened in December 2003, is a brand new, purpose-built facility offering luxurious accommodation for music making.
The concert hall, practice rooms, kitchen and cloakrooms mean that all rehearsals and concerts take place in comfortable and relaxing surroundings.
Teaching
Some 100 children and adults already attend music lessons at Minstrels Music Centre, studying piano, singing and stringed instruments. All musical levels are catered for from beginners to more advanced players. Opportunities to improve performance skills are encouraged in informal and formal situations. Students who wish to gain musical goals are prepared for ABRSM exams and can participate in local music festivals. Some pupils find enjoyment in playing for their own pleasure and do not wish to experience the added pressure of exam work. All are equally welcome and are encouraged to achieve their own personal musical goals. Minstrels Music Centre is a centre for the London College of Music exams including Music Theatre.
